Marketing
Targeted Platform
OVERVIEW
This was the first project I worked on as a Product Designer at One Mount Consumer. My daily tasks involved 60% designing on Figma, 30% researching and creating some forms or prototypes to test with users or do A/B testing, and 10% creating components and documenting how to use them on Figma.
ROLE

About the project
The Marketing Targeted Platform was born to create a web-based tool that centralized cross-channel ad management helps marketers maximize insights and optimize media and creative performance across all digital campaigns. We will use this for our internal marketing to create campaigns for all our products in the company.
We aim to launch our own tool service in 18 months and replace the third-party service we are currently using. Then, we will market our tool to other potential customers.
My role
It was challenging for me at first. I was part of a small team, with only my leader and me. I was a junior designer, with no experience working in an Agile team, reporting directly to stakeholders. I also had to keep improving my design skills, such as how to arrange files professionally, make sure that people could find what they wanted, do desk research, deal with challenges when interviewing users, create a design system that everyone enjoyed using, measure the performance of the design team... It was overwhelming for a junior girl who was new in town.
Luckily, I had an amazing mentor, who gave me valuable lessons every day.
Before I started wireframing with the Product Owner, I had to do desk research for each function about a month in advance. The purpose of the research was to understand the needs and goals of our users, who were marketers and CRM operators, and also to find out why our competitors had solutions for that.
We have instant meetings with team members to get more perspectives from people with different roles, such as developers, quality control, product owner, product manager, etc. We always accelerate the design sprints before the team sprints for two weeks. This ensures that the task will be done well according to the product roadmap.
Solution
It all started with a big challenge: designing a platform where anyone could create customized advertising campaigns across multiple channels. Picture this: Imagine a canvas, not for painting, but for building ads. It needed to be flexible enough for anyone to create campaigns with custom names, choose where they appeared on devices, target specific audiences, and even write the content.
Design methods used during the project included journey mapping, facilitating workshops, UI/UX design, and prototyping solutions
Design System for Web
During the project, I also contributed to the Design System for Web. This involved defining the components used in the project, writing detailed design documentation, and implementing tests for each component.
I defined each component's purpose, functionality, and technical specifications. This included information on how to use the component, its design specifications, behavior, and any relevant code snippets.
Actually, our Design System has become a real lifesaver for our Product Owner! They use it all the time to draft wireframes. They love how handy and helpful it is, and it's definitely made their life a lot easier.
