multiple supportive tools for sale agents to engage with millions of property investors in a mobile app
OVERVIEW
In January 2022, I joined One Mount Real Estate as a Product Designer in order to define a visual direction, improve its current state, and build new features for Pro Agent App.
After 3 months, I got new responsibilities, and became DesignOps of the design team with 7 members, in charge of the design system and the design process, as well as designing end-to-end features.

My Role at One Mount Real Estate
One Mount Real Estate holds two main platforms: the website and the mobile app. I was aligned with the team to develop a mobile application for sales agents to help them be more productive and streamline their business.
During this time, I was responsible for:

Defining the visual direction of the Pro Agent App at the early stage of the product

Conducting user research and user interviews for each feature

Delivering a full-flow user interface

Building and maintaining the design system and the design process for the whole team
Pro Agent App is a smart solution for real estate buyers and sellers. It allows the sale agent to check the customer's loan limit with banks in a fast and easy way. The customer only needs to give their consent, EKYC, and upload their ID photo. Then, the sale agent fills out a form based on the customer's preferences. The app will show the loan limit and the best options for the customer. This way, the sale agent can provide more suitable advice and close the deal faster.

As a user researcher, I work with my team to understand our users better and improve their experience. Some of the tasks that I do are:

To explore user needs and preferences, before interviewing our users, I have to prepare a master plan to make sure everything goes well on that day.
I will use two methods to interview our users: direct questions or app observation. I will ask different kinds of questions to get rich insights. I will record, transcribe, and analyze the interviews using affinity diagramming and share and present the insights with team and stakeholders to define solution and next steps.
Design System Owner / DesignOps
As a part of a team of seven designers, I became the Design System Owner and DesignOps for the mobile app, which took up 30% of my daily workload. I contributed around 20 components with full design specifications, usage guidelines, and corner cases.
In addition, I worked with other designers to define the way of working with other stakeholders, such as Design System Checklist, Design System Name Convention, UI Design Checklist, etc.
